International Highlight Tour Docent at The Metropolitan Museum of Art

Jury Service at the Very Special Art Festival for the children with and without developmental disabilities
Kate Oh Art Inc. participated in the Very Special Art Festival—an inclusive art event held by St. John’s University in collaboration with the Community Inclusion & Development Alliance (CIDA) in Bayside, NY. The festival brought together children with and without developmental disabilities to celebrate creativity through a shared art competition. As a jury member and cultural mentor, the organization helped guide young participants in exploring self-expression through visual art, furthering its mission to promote inclusivity, accessibility, and the transformative power of art in all communities.

Workshop at Museums and Society
Kate Oh Art Inc. has collaborated with prominent cultural institutions—including Asia Society and Museum, the American Museum of Natural History, and the Korean Society—to present engaging public programs that celebrate Korea’s rich artistic heritage. As part of these efforts, the organization has annually hosted interactive workshops featuring traditional Korean masks (tal) and Minhwa painting, offering participants of all ages a hands-on introduction to Korean folk art and storytelling. These programs reflect the organization's mission to share Korean culture on global stages and foster intercultural dialogue through the arts.

Minhwa Painting Workshop
The Minhwa workshop introduced participants to the beauty and symbolism of traditional Korean folk painting. Attendees had the opportunity to learn the history and techniques of Minhwa while creating their own works inspired by this vibrant cultural heritage. The event aimed to foster cross-cultural appreciation through hands-on artistic experience in an inclusive and welcoming space.
Korean Folk Traditions Class (Minhwa) for Students
In an effort to educate younger generations about Korea’s rich artistic heritage, Kate Oh Art Inc. hosted a lecture on traditional Korean Minhwa painting for students of all ages. The session provided an in-depth introduction to the philosophy, motifs, and techniques of Minhwa, making Korean traditional art more accessible in an academic context. This program reflects the organization’s commitment to nurturing cultural appreciation and promoting global understanding of Korean art through education. The lecture was led by a distinguished scholar who has taught Korean art and culture at esteemed institutions such as Rutgers, Princeton, Wellesley, and HCUND (Hospitality Committee for United Nations Delegations).
Korean Cultural Exhibition and Celebration with College Students
To conclude a semester-long course on traditional Korean Minhwa painting, Kate Oh Art Inc. organized a special exhibition showcasing student-created artworks alongside pieces by local and renowned Korean Minhwa artists. This culminating event celebrated Korean culture through all five senses — featuring live performances by Korean traditional musicians, a hanbok try-on experience, and a tasting and smelling of authentic Korean cuisine. The program offered students and attendees a deeply immersive and memorable introduction to Korean heritage, supporting the foundation’s mission to promote cross-cultural understanding and the growth of Korean arts abroad.
Wearing Elegance: Traditional Dress Experience
As part of its cultural immersion programs, Kate Oh Art Inc. offers participants the chance to wear the traditional dresses of East Asian. Set in an exhibition space surrounded by contemporary and traditional art, this experience allows guests to connect with East Asian aesthetics not only visually, but also physically—through texture, form, and heritage.

Korean Tradition in Motion: Dance and Culture
Kate Oh Art Inc. presents a vibrant performance of traditional Korean dance, celebrating the harmony of movement, costume, and history. Performed alongside visual art exhibitions, the dance becomes a living extension of Korean aesthetic values—offering audiences a dynamic and immersive cultural experience.
International Exchange Exhibition with the Korea Fine Arts Association
The international exchange exhibition, held in collaboration with the Korea Fine Arts Association, took place at the Geumboseong Art Center in Seoul. It features artists who are actively working in both New York and Korea, showcasing a dynamic blend of contemporary perspectives from both regions. Kate Oh Art Inc. participated in this exhibition to cooperate in the cultural exchange of art between countries.
Minhwa Workshop at Won Dharma Center
Kate Oh was invited as an artist for a solo exhibition “Hope for Peace” at the Won Dharma Center(Claverack, NY). During the exhibition, Kate Oh Inc. held Korean traditional minhwa painting workshop. This offered participants a unique opportunity to connect with Korean art in a meditative and natural environment. Organized by Kate Oh Art Inc., the program emphasized the spiritual and philosophical roots of minhwa, encouraging reflection, creativity, and cross-cultural appreciation in a tranquil setting. Kate Oh’s artwork “Circle of Life” is exhibited in the Won Dharma Center’s collection.

Exploring Korean Heritage through Minhwa Painting
This hands-on workshop introduces the local artists in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan to minhwa, traditional Korean folk painting. Led by an experienced instructor, Kate Oh, attendees learn traditional brush techniques while discovering the cultural meanings behind each motif. Hosted by Kate Oh Art Inc., this program invites people from diverse backgrounds to engage with Korean art in an inclusive and creative setting.
